1-ply kidmohair
Very suitable as a follower thread or alone for baby undershirts or shawls both knitted and crocheted.1-ply kidmohair
50 grams per bundle.
Mohair yarn of 65% kidmohair and 35% of the softest merino wool. The yarn is very light and has a lenght of meters of about 350 m / 50 grams and is knitted with a needle size of 2 – 3 1/2 mm.
Our 1-ply kidmohair yarn is very popular for smaller things. Due to the long length, with only a few bundles you can knit or crochet large amazing shawls etc. Since the yarn is offered in many colors, you have the opportunity to make your very own color combinations by knitting two threads together of different colors.
The 1\-ply yarn is also very suitable for mixing with other yarns, as the softness of the mohair clearly comes through if mixed with a slightly hard yarn. Even the lightest and thinnest shawl of this yarn provides good heat, without filling much.
Several of the colors are reoccurring in our other types of yarns, so mixing our different qualities in the same color can provide great unique knitting experiences for the creative.
Kidmohair is a natural product of the highest quality from South African Angora herds. South Africa currently accounts for approximately 50% of the world's mohair production, and this status gives rise to great responsibility for production methods and quality.
The angora beds are mowed twice a year either by hand or by machine. The animals are in no way harmed in this process.
The mohair is sorted by length, fibre diameter and quality.
The wool is then washed, carded and brushed to the top, from which it is spun.
The yarn is dyed before or after spinning, depending on the look desired in the finished yarn

2-ply kidmohair
Super soft with incredibly beautiful shine. Suitable for all knitwear.2-ply kidmohair
50 grams per bundle.
Mohair yarn of 65% kidmohair and 35% of the softest merino wool. The yarn is very light and has a length of about 350 m / 100 grams. (175m per bundle)
For a singlecolored pullover in size 40, yarn consumption is about 500g of the 2\-ply kidmohair yarn, but there are patterns with both smaller and more yarns. Note that many of the colors are in our other yarn qualities, so there is ample opportunity to combine and get exciting knitting results.
Only the fine fibers from Mohairkid are used. The Mohair yarn is lightweight and gives the ready-knit sweaters a heat-regulating and comfortable effect. Due to the smooth fibers of the mohair, mohair is dirt and water repellent. Sweaters knitted by our 2-ply kidmohair are suitable both inside and outdoor use. Under outerwear, the knit sweaters don't take up much space. If you want a thicker and more waffled sweater, it is recommended to mix the yarn with our Brushed lace or the 1-ply kidmohair.
Several of the colors are reoccurring in our other types of yarns, so mixing our different qualities in the same color can provide great unique knitting experiences for the creative.

Bouclé yarn
The ideal yarn for large and wobbly sweaters and shawls, hats, mitts etc. or as main yarn in knitwear with other types of yarn. Solid and hand-colored (multicolored).Super soft mohair yarn with loops.
Can be knitted on large needles.
Loop length approx. 170 m per 100 g yarn.
The ideal yarn for large and wobbly sweaters and shawls, hats, mitts etc. or as main yarn in knitwear with other types of yarn. Solid and hand-colored (multicolored).
This soft yarn is suitable for knitting without a pattern, as the structure of the yarn itself produces pattern effect. The yarn is often chosen by newcomers to knitting, as irregular knitting is not seen so clearly at the finished work. Several things such as hats, scarves, neck warmers and mitts can be knitted from just one bundle. The Bouclé yarn is also suitable for wobbly sweaters or cardigans. Ideas can be downloaded here.
Mohair Bouclé is a natural product from South African Angora herds. Bouclé yarn is characterised by the many small loops in the yarn. It is made from a slightly coarser fibre than Kidmohair, but is very soft and high quality.
Bouclé yarn is recommended for clothing that is not exposed to constant and continuous wear, e.g. when you dress up or need to provide comfort on a cool summer night.
Mohair Bouclé is found in a wide range of colors, both plain and in the colorful and popular mix-types that are dyed by hand. The yarn consists of 78% mohair, 13% merino and 9% nylon.
Facts about hand-dyed yarn.
All our multi-coloured yarns are hand-dyed. This implies that there will always be a risk of variation from skein to skein, even if it is the same dye lot or batch number.
Our hand-dyed bouclé yarns are dyed using two different methods.
- The colors are applied to the yarn with sponges
Only a few skeins are dyed at a time, which is the reason for possible deviations. We have a batch number on these, which is not a guarantee that the colors are 100% evenly distributed. - Dyeing by dipping the yarn in containers with dyes
These yarns have the designation LE after the color number. Only 5 kg are dyed at a time. Yarns dipped in the same round do not have large variations. We do not have dye lot numbers for these yarns. When ordering we make sure the LE dyed yarn comes from the same cauldron. When reordering, it cannot be guaranteed that it is from the same cauldron as before.

Brushed Lace
Brushed lace is the absolute finest, softest and thinnest mohair yarn for knitwear. The yarn is of the type Silkmohair. This yarn gives a real "wow effect".Brushed lace
25 grams per bundle. Loop length 210m per bundle.
Brushed lace is a quality yarn of super fine fibres from the mohair kids blended with mulberry silk, which is the finest silk. The yarn consists of 72% fine kidmohair and 28% mulberry silk. The kid hair is carefully selected for this product. The fibres must be super fine and long to give the best quality. No silicone or other softeners are added to achieve the softness. A brushed mohair yarn will always shed some hair, but we hear very often that ours doesn't "shed" very much. Brushed lace, is often called silkmohair by knitters. This term is actually very telling, not only because the yarn is blended with silk, but also because it is silky and lustrous.
Brushed lace is used in many different ways. Ultra light sweaters are knitted with one thread, PetitKnit's September Sweater is knitted with three threads and our model 88 Fluffy Bird is knitted with four threads. We've even seen a designer create a bolero with eight threads of brushed lace. Anything is possible and therefore it is impossible to suggest a suitable needle size. Brushed lace is also suitable as a follow-up thread along with our 1- and 2-plyed kidmohair or completely different yarns.
The fine lustrous yarn is suitable for garments such as scarves, shawls and light sweaters and dresses.
